Principal’s Message

Welcome Lakeview Families,

As we begin the second semester, I’m proud to celebrate the strong progress our students have made during the first half of the year. Their hard work—paired with the dedication of our staff and the ongoing support of our families—continues to move Lakeview forward in meaningful ways.

Our most recent Progress Monitoring data (PM2) shows growth in both ELA and Math compared to last year, and we are on track to meet our schoolwide goal of 60% proficiency in both areas. This growth is a direct result of high-quality instruction, strong student effort, and our collective commitment to ensuring every child is successful.

As we review our current data, our teachers are making thoughtful, strategic adjustments to instruction to ensure that every student continues to grow and reach their individual goals. With renewed energy and a clear focus, we are excited about the opportunities the second semester brings.

Thank you for your continued partnership. Together, we will make the rest of the year truly exceptional for our Lakeview students.

Testimonials

"What I love most about Lakeview Elementary is the incredible energy and joy the students bring every day. Their eagerness to learn and their genuine happiness create such a positive atmosphere—it’s contagious! It inspires me to show up and give my very best, every single day." -Mrs. Leon (2025 Teacher of the Year and 2nd-grade Dual Language Teacher)

"What I love most about Lakeview Elementary is the deep sense of unity and shared purpose. Everyone—from staff to students—works toward a common goal, and a culture of accountability supports us all. My peers challenge me to grow and support me when I need it most. It’s a place where you truly feel like you belong." – Mrs. Dunn ( 2024 Teacher of the Year and 2nd-grade Dual Language Teacher)

"As a former student of Lakeview Elementary, returning as a parent has felt like coming home. The culture here is truly special—it’s more than just a school, it’s a family. My daughters are embraced with the same care and warmth you’d expect from a close-knit community, treated like cherished daughters or granddaughters by the staff. I deeply appreciate the strong community involvement and the variety of programs offered, which enrich not only my children’s education but their sense of belonging. Lakeview continues to be a place where hearts and minds grow together." – Ms. Roeseler (Mother of a VPK and 4th-grade students)

“As a parent of both a kindergartener and a second grader, I couldn’t be more grateful for the nurturing and enriching environment Lakeview provides. From day one, my children have felt welcomed, supported, and excited to learn. They are thriving academically and emotionally thanks to the engaging curriculum and the caring, attentive teachers who truly understand each child’s unique needs.” – Mrs. Walcott (Mother of a KG and 2nd grade students)
